The Ozone Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X takes Ozone's award-winning Pocket Rocket V2 and strips it back to the lightest, most packable parawing Ozone has ever built. Premium lightweight materials and weight-targeted construction deliver more float, a smaller packdown, faster redeployment and noticeably better performance when the breeze is barely there.

It floats in very little wind and hangs in the air through downwind transitions, so you can commit to your turns and glides knowing the wing will still be flying when you need it again.

What makes the Ultra-X different

• Up to 17% lighter than the standard Pocket Rocket V2, with a packdown roughly 20% smaller.
• Ultralight canopy construction — single-ripstop structure with load-targeted rib cutouts to save weight without losing profile shape.
• Built for light wind — a new 6.5m size that flies from around 8 knots, plus two extra cells in the 5.7m and 6.5m for more lift and glide in soft conditions.
• 90g monobloc carbon control bar — 35cm, with finger rests and an A-line stopper for easy depower.
• Coated, colour-coded bridles that slide cleanly, resist tangles and redeploy quickly.
• New Ultra-X backpack — wide, load-spreading shoulder straps that stay put while you pump, an adjustable harness system and breathable mesh panels.

Under the lighter build, the Ultra-X shares the design that made the Pocket Rocket V2 Ozone's go-to parawing for most riders and the AWSI Innovation of the Year 2026.

• Strong upwind performance — diagonal ribs and a supportive canopy structure spread load evenly from the leading edge into the sail.
• Smooth, consistent power — a big sweet spot that forgives handling errors, with extra drive available when you pump.
• Forgiving and progressive — a lower stall speed when pointing high lets you cruise upwind without obsessing over technique, and the wing stalls later downwind.
• PowerPack-inspired simplicity — shorter bridle layout and centre front line riser for fast packdowns, quick reach to the canopy and lower hand forces.
• Trailing edge V-shrink tabs — fewer brake lines, a cleaner bridle and plenty of grunt to get you up on foil.
• Leading edge profile battens and transverse sail shaping — hold the profile true for stability and efficiency.

Who is the Ultra-X for?

Riders who love the accessible, do-it-all feel of the Pocket Rocket V2 but want it in the lightest, most packable package possible — especially if you're chasing light-wind sessions, long downwinders and clean stash-and-glide transitions.

The Ultra-X range runs from 3.0m to 6.5m. If you need the smaller 1.9m or 2.4m sizes, see the standard Ozone Pocket Rocket V2.

Ultra-X or standard Pocket Rocket V2?

Both share the same core shape and handling. Choose the Ultra-X if weight, pack size and light-wind float matter most — downwinders, travel and marginal days. Choose the standard V2 if you want the smallest sizes or a lower price point for everyday sessions.

Recommended accessories

Ozone recommends running any parawing with a harness line and a harness such as the Ozone Parawing Stash Harness or Stash Belt V2 — even for beginners. Hooking in reduces upper-body fatigue, improves upwind efficiency and keeps you on the water longer. For adventure sessions, the Ozone Mission Pack carries up to two backup wings, a phone, water bottle or flare.
