Duotone Wing Set Pop D/LAB 2027
The 2027 Duotone Pop D/LAB Wing Set is built for riders who want speed, explosive pop and a foil that stays composed when you’re pushing freestyle hard.
This isn’t a general-purpose freeride foil with a freestyle label added to it. The Pop D/LAB was developed specifically around powered riding, aerial tricks and controlled landings. Its fast, low-drag profile lets you carry serious speed into the take-off, while the low-to-medium aspect shape gives it the locked-in feel you want when loading the foil before a jump.
What stands out on the water is how predictable it feels under pressure. Front-foot pressure stays consistent as speed builds, so you’re not fighting sudden changes in pitch just as you’re setting up for a trick. Release is quick and positive, there’s plenty of pop, and the foil is designed to recover and re-pop cleanly after touchdowns and landings. That same stability makes the Pop seriously quick and controlled for high-speed kite foiling and powered flat-water winging.
Duotone has gone all-in on the D/LAB construction. The Pop uses premium HM/IM carbon, a reinforced structure and an increased fuselage cross-section to deliver the stiffness and strength needed to handle repeated hard take-offs and landings without sacrificing the direct feel riders expect from D/LAB equipment. The design was developed and proven in GWA freestyle competition during its development phase.
The Wing Set pairs the Pop D/LAB front wing with the dedicated Monobloc Tail F165. The compact F165 tail has been tuned specifically for freestyle, with strong pitch stability across a wide speed range. The new 3BS+ connection with provision for a fourth screw adds extra security and stiffness for the loads generated during jumping and hard freestyle riding.
If your riding is centred around boosting, rotations, freestyle progression and carrying speed into tricks, the Pop D/LAB is a very different proposition to a surf-focused foil. It sacrifices some of the loose carving character and glide of designs like the Carve in favour of speed, stability, pop and predictable landings.
