2024 Naish Triad 7m

I rode the new 2024 Naish Triad 7m in what I would call the optimum conditions it was designed for with winds between 20-22 knots. Having already rode this kite on the 'Wave' bridle setting in 12 knots with a foil, I wanted to see how it would ride on the 'Freeride' setting with a surfboard and onshore waves. I had more than enough power with this wind and found the kite reacted much faster and had more pivoting turns on this bridle setting. This suited the direct onshore winds and mushy waves. I really enjoyed myself with this kite and had a blast. In comparison to my older 2020 7m Slash, you can see the struts on the Triad are much thinner. I felt this kite had more power than the 7m Slash and at least turned with the same speed. It certainly drifts better which will come in handy when riding in cross-shore conditions. Given a choice of kite size again, I would probably size down to a 6m as I felt it would have the same power as my 2020 7m Slash. This kite has much better low end and more stability in gusty conditions which will suit where I typically ride. Overall very happy. Thanks Jas!
